AKS Cranes are a dedicated lifting company offering: Contract Lifting Mini Crawler  Cranes Trailer Tower Cranes Mobile Cranes Machinery Moving and Installation Vacuum Glass Lifters We give a complete service to all of our crane hire customers including site surveys and calculations. We serve mainly in the South West area such as Somerset, Devon, Cornwall, South Wales, Dorset and Wiltshire. Our mini cranes are in great demand and are often hired in conjunction with our vacuum glass lifting equipment. Customers are constantly impressed with their versatility and ability to work in confined conditions and spaces with low headroom. We have a fleet of Crawler cranes in the Maeda and UNIC ranges. We now offer Bocker trailer mounted tower cranes for hire. Crane operator training and slinger/signaller training course are available at our depot near Frome to gain CSCS cards. In addition to crawler crane, mini crane and mobile crane hire, we can supply a full labour service to cover every aspect of your lifting programme including: Appointed persons - to plan and ensure that the work is carried out to BS 7121 Lifting supervisors Slinger/signaller Riggers and fitters Rigger loadings and track ground pressures can be calculated by our in house programme and can be provided with diagrams to establish maximum loads. We can also design and manufacture specific glass lifting equipment or other fabrications that may be needed to carry out an installation. An extensive store of lifting gear is also available for hire which includes: Glass lifting and composite vacuum lifters Rigger mats Man baskets Spreader beams Chain sets All equipment is supplied with the appropriate test certificates and conforms to the LOLER and PUWER regulations of 1998.
